Nathan Vengalil, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He currently practices in Los Angeles, California, where he provides comprehensive dermatologic care for patients of all ages and skin types.
Dr. Vengalil earned his undergraduate degree with a dual major in Honors Economics and University Studies with a Biology minor from Wayne State University, where he graduated summa cum laude and was a Presidential Scholarship recipient. He went on to attend the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his transitional year at Beaumont Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan, where he served as Chief Resident. He continued his training at Washington University in St. Louis, where he was Chief Resident during his dermatology residency.
Dr. Vengalil has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, including research focused on dermatologic manifestations in the LGBTQ+ community, adverse reactions to cosmetic injectables, and complex inpatient dermatology cases. He has presented at national and regional conferences and is actively involved in education and mentorship initiatives focused on diversity in dermatology.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Vengalil brings a strong academic background and passion for community engagement. He has developed dermatology education programs for teens and has been recognized with multiple awards including the William B. Taylor Dermatology Clinical Science Award and a Castle Connolly Top Doctor designation.
